Hi! We are Rick and Doris Schmidt, co-founders of Families Against Meth (FAM). We were introduced to the culture of methamphetamine (meth) addiction much like many of you. Our son became addicted and for 10 years led a life of secrecy and terror until he could not hide his addiction from his loved ones any longer. Meth cost him his home, his job, his material possessions, his marriage and almost cost him his life.

When we discovered his plight, we were dumbfounded by our lack of knowledge about this deadly drug that is capturing the lives of so many people of all ages. We decided to share what we learned through research and contact with people who lived the addiction. FAM is our attempt (through public, corporate, and private presentations) to help other families learn about the signs of addiction and what is available for help in getting free from the bondage this drug commands over the lives of those unfortunate enough to try it.
